The Ember Learning Trust
The Ember Learning Trust is made up of a group of local schools who have joined together to form a Co-operative Trust. This allows us to work in close partnership, with shared values and principles, while maintaining the autonomy of each of our schools. Each school in the Trust is still maintained by the local authority but is supported by a charitable foundation.
The schools in the Ember Learning Trust are: Hinchley Wood Primary School, Thames Ditton Infant School, Thames Ditton Junior School, Long Ditton Infant and Nursery School, Long Ditton St. Mary's Junior School and Claygate Primary School.
We are working in partnership with Kingston University to support the supply and training of high quality teachers in our local area. Surrey County Council is also a partner of the Trust.
We work together to share best practice and learn from each other, as well as from other schools within the wider Co-operative School's family.
Our one aim is to work together to provide an excellent education for all our children.
September 13th Board Meeting
This was held on September 13th with the Heads and representatives from the governing bodies of all five schools present. The Board explored ideas for greater cooperation on a range of educational and social areas.
The results of the consultation we held with all stakeholders between May and July were very positive. As a result five local schools (Hinchley Wood Primary School, Long Ditton Infant and Nursery School, Long Ditton St Mary’s Junior School, Thames Ditton Infant School, Thames Ditton Junior School) are now part of The Ember Learning Trust which was incorporated and registered at Companies House on July 29th 2016
